Amazing Spider-Man 2 (also released since The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise involving Electro in some markets) is every 2014 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, directed through Marc Webb and released by Columbia Pictures. It is the fifth theatrical Spider-Man film produced by Columbia Family pictures and Marvel Entertainment, and is a new sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man (2012). The studio hired James Vanderbilt in order to write the screenplay and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci to rewrite keep in mind this. The film stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, Emma Stone mainly because Gwen Stacy, Dane DeHaan as Green Goblin / Harry Osborn, Campbell Scott and Embeth Davidtz as Peter's parents, and Sally Field as Aunt May, with the addition of a fresh cast including Paul Giamatti as Rhinocerous / Aleksei Sytsevich and Jamie Foxx as Electro / Max Dillon.
Development of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 began after the success of Ones 
Amazing Spider-Man. DeHaan, Giamatti, Jones, so Cooper were cast between 
December 2012 and February 2013. Filming took fit in New York City from Feb to 
June 2013. The film could have been released in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on May 2, 
2014, in the United States with two international premieres being held between 
March 31 & April 10, 2014. The film acquired mixed reviews, and although it 
made $709 million worldwide and became ones ninth-highest-grossing film of 2014, 
it had been the lowest-grossing film in the series. However, the film was 
declared a "hit" in the overseas markets with extreme openings and a wide 
cinematic discharge. The film subsequently won awards for there music 
composition and acting, notably one Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award and a pair of 
ASCAP Awards. 
The Amazing Spider-Man to was originally envisioned mainly 
because the beginning of every shared fictional universe, that would have 
continued using two sequels and a number of spin-off films. Due to it performing 
below expectations, all subsequent installments were definitely cancelled and a 
different iteration of the character, portrayed by Tom The netherlands appears 
in the Amazing Cinematic Universe, beginning using the 2016 film Captain 
America: Civil War, until today he is scheduled in order to appear in his own 
personal film Spider-Man: Homecoming all the way through 2017.
